Upgrades to Highway 49 in Auburn, CA - Another SB1 funded project.
Thrilled about this project taking shape in our neighborhood and being part of the team. The $40.5 million project along State Route 49 in Auburn, CA with funding provided by Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 is well underway. The project, which stretches 4.4 miles from the I-80/SR-49 interchange to Dry Creek Road, will rehabilitate existing pavement and drainage, improve operational features and upgrade pedestrian and bicycle facilities. Class II bicycle lanes will be installed northbound and southbound on SR-49 between Elm Avenue and Dry Creek Road, with bike timing loops at each signal to assist bicyclists traveling the four-mile stretch.
